Mapa representa la obra literaria más simbólica de cada país
Un usuario de Reddit se dio a la tarea de crear un mapa del mundo donde cada país estuviera representado por un libro. Backforward24, como se denomina en el sitio, presentó un segundo intento por contener en un mismo mapamundi cada una de las obras literarias que más representan a los países del planeta.
Esta versión tomó en cuenta las opiniones y sugerencias de muchos usuarios que ofrecieron propuestas para modificar la versión anterior en la que, por ejemplo, Francia estaba representada con Los Miserables y se sustituyó por El conde de Montecristo de Alejandro Dumas.
Este trabajo titulado Mapa literario del mundo es una gran guía para quienes quieran experimentar leer algo de países poco conocidos como Vanuatu, localizado en Oceanía, que está representado con Black Stone de Grace Mera Molisa. El territorio de México está ilustrado con la portada de Pedro Páramo de Juan Rulfo, novela clave para el movimiento de realismo mágico literario.
El mapa contiene 145 libros de los 193 países que están reconocidos por la ONU. El creador sigue recibiendo sugerencias para completar los que faltan, en una publicación escribió que estaba teniendo problemas para encontrar títulos de las áreas de Europa oriental, África, Medio Oriente y Asia central. Además dijo que encontrará la manera de imprimir en físico el trabajo cuando esté terminado.
