El director Alonso Ruizpalacios se anotó un triunfo más en su carrera y volvió a ser orgullo mexicano en Alemania, para ser más exactos en la Berlinale. Su cinta Museo, protagonizada por Gael García Bernal, fue merecedora del Oso de Plata por Mejor Guión.

Está inspirada en hechos reales, para ser precisos se basa en un sonado robo en el museo de Antropología en 1985.

La historia no se centra solo en el robo de las 140 piezas mayas y mexicas, sino en el viaje interior de Juan y Wilson, los personajes principales de la cinta.
